As our new Head of Controlling & FP&A, you will be at the heart of waterdrop’s financial management and strategic planning. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee our financial controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities - ensuring we have strong insights, processes, and controls to support our dynamic growth.

You will directly lead and develop our Controlling teams, working closely with the CFO and wider leadership team to support business steering and ensure transparency. We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented leader with a strong business sense and an open, collaborative working style - someone excited to help scale a modern, international finance function.

In this role, you will:

Lead Financial Planning & Analysis

• Own the company-wide budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful reporting on financial & business performance to internal stakeholders.
• Analyze business results and trends to provide strategic recommendations and early-warning insights.
• Develop mid- and long-term financial models to support strategic decision-making.

Oversee Controlling & Treasury Operations

• Lead the controlling activities across the Group, ensuring transparency, compliance, and efficiency.

• Optimize internal controls and financial processes to enhance accuracy, scalability, and risk management

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

• Work hand-in-hand with Finance Teams at Group level (esp. Accounting, Treasury) and across  geographies
• Partner closely with Commercial / Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams to ensure financial alignment with company goals.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior management team, driving informed and strategic financial decisions.

Lead & Develop High-Performing Teams

• Manage / orchestrate Group Controlling Team, fostering a culture of ownership, diligence, and continuous improvement.
• Build financial capabilities across the Finance team and support leadership development within your direct reports.
• Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams to improve financial literacy and business partnering company-wide.

What you bring:

• 8+ years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance leadership roles, ideally within fast-paced, international environments.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and treasury operations.
• Highly analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and strong business acumen.
• Hands-on, pragmatic, and collaborative leadership style.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 70,000 gross per year on a full-time basis. Depending on your qualifications, there is the willingness for overpayment.
